Families4Nature Activities at the
Environmental Resources Center
Each program meets at the ERC Building (directions) on the PFW campus. Each event is from 11 am – 1 pm, limited to 30 people per event (including adults) and is geared for children ages 4-12. Programs are free to attend, but registration is required and can be done by phone (260-481-5725) or by clicking the links below each event (coming soon). When registering, please tell us how many people will be attending in your party and provide a contact name, phone number and/or email for your group. Registration will close for each respective program one week before the program is held.
What critter made that track? Whose scat is that? Find out how to identify native wildlife without having to actually see them by the various signs they leave behind. Make a cast of an animal footprint and get hands-on experience with some of the unique tools scientists use to find and follow wildlife.
Helping Wildlife at Home
You don’t always have to go miles out into the wilderness to experience and help nature. Discover fun facts about native plants and animals and simple ways to make your backyard a certified wildlife habitat. Receive seeds from wildflowers to plant so you can provide a hangout for animals that visit your house.
