Next week, Dr. Bruce Kingsbury will participate in a panel titled “Earth Care”, hosted by the First Presbyterian Church in Fort Wayne. His segment will focus on ways to live with sustainability in mind.
On Sunday April 21 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. many will gather at Eagle Marsh in Fort Wayne to celebrate Earth Day. Traditionally, Earth Day is an annual time during which people recognize and appreciate the natural world. This year at Eagle Marsh environmental organizations, volunteer groups, and families will join the festivities. A 5k walk, nature outreach programs, and interpretive hikes are just a few of the activities on the agenda. Check out more at the link below and come join us for the fun!
The ERC was launched in July 2012. The ERC was in many ways an expansion of the first of IPFW’s Centers of Excellence, the Center for Reptile and Amphibian Conservation and Management (the “Herp Center”), which itself was launched back in 2000. Although it engaged in a variety of conservation efforts, the Herp Center not surprisingly focused on the ecology and conservation of reptiles and amphibians. With the explicit expansion of mission, the ERC can more easily showcase and support a broad range of conservation issues.
